Regional Veterinary Medical Director Join the pack at JustFoodForDogs We are looking for a Regional Veterinary Medical Director who is responsible for veterinary outreach and establishing, managing and growing an account base of key veterinary partnerships as part of a new market penetration strategy. The Regional Veterinary Medical Director's goal is to position our brand as veterinarians' "first and best" recommendation. Our Regional Veterinary Medical Director will be outgoing, personable and relationship driven, self-motivated, flexible and versatile in a dynamic start-up environment. This is primarily a field position with a moderate travel requirement. GENERAL DESCRIPTION Specific market penetration and growth goals will be set for each market and the Regional Veterinary Medical Director will be accountable for meeting these goals. They will be responsible for veterinary outreach, follow up, organizing lunch and learns, and doctor dinners. The goal at these presentations is to secure veterinary 'buy in' to JustFoodForDogs' products and services. They may also be responsible for building partnerships with wholesale and/or Pantry potential. Marketing support will be provided. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Establish, manage, and grow a strategic base of veterinary partnerships in each market, position our brand as the clinic's "first and best" recommendation, and drive traffic to locations where JustFoodForDogs is sold. Lead a team of Veterinary Ambassadors to help support veterinary relationships in established markets. With executive management input, select key hospitals to partner with and implement appropriate wholesale or Pantry programs where applicable. Leverage JustFoodForDogs marketing support to drive product expertise and improve sales and market share in the clinic. Promote and merchandise JustFoodForDogs products and services. Educate veterinary staff through in-clinic lunch seminars or doctor dinners on the superior value proposition of JustFoodForDogs diets and services. Help propel the JustFoodForDogs mission to pets' living longer, happier lives by driving endorsement of our products in veterinary clinics. Help rollout new product launches and education to clinic staff leading to optimal positioning in the clinic. Prospect, organize, and attend local and regional veterinary specific events/conferences with the ultimate goal of raising brand awareness among vets in corresponding markets. Headline all aspects of organizing any relevant event, seeking appropriate resources and materials, and follow up with outreach afterwards. Establish, promote, and deliver excellent B2B service. Maintain a very high level of product and company knowledge so as to become the "go to" person for all veterinary staff. Attend weekly meetings at HQ and organize any other relevant meetings. Maintain communication with the appropriate parties regarding any issues as they arise (inventory/supply concerns, tech problems, accounts receivable, etc.) Foster a favorable working environment, and help develop and maintain long-term employee relationships and loyalty. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education: DVM degree required. Experience: Sales Leadership experience preferred. Nutrition consulting (or JFFD consulting) experience preferred. Veterinary or animal industry related experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A genuine love for dogs and the desire to further the JustFoodForDogs mission. Must have superb comprehension and retention abilities. Must have a history of excellent sales or retail management skills with proven results. Must have exceptional computer, organizational and planning skills. Must have excellent judgment and be able use their best judgment in all situations. Must have the ability to create and set high standards and enforce them. Strong communication skills and leadership qualities. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with people in a variety of circumstances and from various backgrounds. Possess a thorough, organized and detail-oriented approach to work. Plan, prioritize, and coordinate, multi-task and complete tasks and assignments within deadlines. Able to apply effective time management and self-management skills. Able to perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by HQ at any time. Adaptability and the ability to foster a cooperative business environment. Establish internal documentation as needed. Develop and maintain best practices as needed. Be reliable with schedule flexibility as determined by business needs. Proactive - with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Clean driving record preferred.
