We are looking for a hands on candidate who will play a key role with high visibility strategic initiatives including the annual multi-year strategic planning process, in-depth business reviews, the annual operating plan; and internal and external strategic presentation development.Responsibilities:

• Play an instrumental role in the annual strategic planning process for Critical Care
• Implement in-depth reviews, similar to management consulting engagements, for key strategic business issues
• Develop presentations to facilitate communication of Critical Care results, strategic initiatives and plans to internal and external audiences
• Integrate findings from research and other analyses into the annual planning process, which establishes the business imperatives for the organization
• Work directly with leadership and global colleagues to develop strategic and tactical business plans cross-functionally and cross-divisionally that drive business growthThe candidate will also actively engage in identifying and evaluating technologies, markets, and companies for business development opportunities globally for the Critical Care business.
  • Assess new business opportunities with a strategic mindset across numerous areas, including technical, clinical, regulatory, legal, IP, market, and financial analysis to support recommendations to senior management
  • Manage due diligence and screening processes, project plans/updates, deliverables, tracking dashboards, and internal review meetings
  • Conduct literature reviews, develop market/valuation models, and create impactful presentations to support internal analysis of opportunities and subsequent recommendations
  • Developing business plans to define the benefits, value and risks for potential transactions, as well as integration and commercialization strategiesQualifications:
    • A Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience is required.
    • Or a Master's degree with 8 years of experience, preferred.
    • Must be onsite at our Irvine, CA campus.
    • Must have experience in a business development, strategy, investment banking and/or management consulting role.
    • This person must be onsite at our Irvine, CA based campus.
    • Ability to listen to stakeholders, discover unmet clinical/technical needs, develop strong rapport with audience, and be customer-focused
    • Must have demonstrated experience working with a range of business, clinical, marketing, and technical professionals and navigating through complex situations
    • Highly detail-oriented and results-driven, with self-motivation to deliver meaningful output. Ability to synthesize complex information into a high-level strategic message, while also understanding the details
    • Comfortable with multi-tasking in a fluid and dynamic environment with changing needs. Able to manage through ambiguous situations to find meaningful solutions in a timely and effective manner
    • International and domestic travel up to 15%, including attendance at major medical congresses
