Engineering team is looking forward to hiring a motivated,
experienced technology leader.Engineering Leadership & Product
Delivery
- You provide engineering expertise and thought leadership across
product management, engineering & human-centric design teams to
ensure we are building the best products, platforms, and
experiences functionally and technically.
- You contribute to key goals and performance metrics for the
product area and are directly accountable for implementation,
tracking, and reporting on them.
- You work collaboratively across multiple teams to prioritize
technical efforts and product features and capabilities.
- You are a key integrator bringing together teams by partnering
across UX Design, architecture, and product teams on setting
technical direction and ensuring alignment with our technology
strategy while staying abreast of engineering trends in the
industry.
- You collaborate to create a shared future vision to identify
areas of need for initiatives and turn this into roadmaps with
concrete landmarks.
- You co-create structures and processes to drive scale & reuse
by promoting a platform mentality to drive pace and
efficiency.
- You have a seat at the decision-making table around standards,
resources, and overall direction of work through proactive
partnerships with senior leadership.Core Responsibilities: -
- Management oversight of all the development resources and
reports to the VP of Software Engineering for the Debtor Attorney
line of business -
- Accountable for all proprietary products within the 'Debtor
Attorney (Best Case)' line of business.
- Accountable for on-time delivery of commitments within budget
and meeting the defined business outcomes.
- Central point and accountable for all release activities. This
includes defining, tracking, and production change management.
- Partners with quality assurance and product teams to define
business cases by providing technical guidance and t-shirt size
estimates.
- Accountable for 3rd-level operational support for all products
within the debtor attorney business. Partners with IT Ops to triage
issues and produce patches as needed. -
- Partners with PMO team to define and track project plans for
each approved business case.
- Adopts and follows Stretto's standard software development
processes and tools. Partners with Stretto's Agile coach to
implement changes and make improvements.
- Accountable for maintaining strict security and compliance
standards.
- Partners with IT Ops and Enterprise architecture team to define
a technical roadmap for all products and lead cloud modernization
changes using AWS services.
- Passes an AWS Well-Architected review for flagship products.
Runs a lean, high-performing, and scalable infrastructure.
- Accountable for meeting 99.9% uptime and other relevant
SLAs.
- Manages the development team's performance through data (KPIs),
sets goals, and provides regular governance updates on progress for
leadership and stakeholders. -
- Ensure high-quality engineering practices, including code
reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous
deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Engage with customers, partners, and other external
stakeholders as needed to gather feedback and insights for product
improvement.
- Communicate with executive leadership, providing regular
updates on engineering initiatives, progress, and
challenges.Organization & Culture Champion
- Demonstrates excellent communication and drives collaboration
with all teams within technology and out.
- Makes continuous progress and strives to build a world-class
development team following industry best practices.
- Leads by example and nurtures a positive, transparent, and
engaging development team environment.
- Lead team members' talent reviews, performances, compensation,
goal setting, development, and top talent recruitment
practices
- Responsible for ensuring SME gaps are identified and mitigated
to avoid single points of failure for expertise.
- Focus on learning to promote skill, career, and development
growth for technology associates.
- Maintain and share knowledge and expertise on the evolving
needs of customers, internal and external markets, and industry
trends and changes across our community.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering,
or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Proven track record of at least 15 years in progressively
responsible engineering leadership roles.
- Extensive experience in software development and architecture,
with expertise in AWS Cloud and Microsoft Technologies.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated
ability to lead, inspire, and manage high-performing engineering
teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with
the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
and present to senior leadership.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance short-term
project goals with long-term technical vision.
