If you''re ready to take your career to the next level and gain valuable experience, apply today!The Director, PDS Foundation is the key management and initiatives leader of the Pacific Dental Services Foundation (PDS Foundation). The Director is responsible for developing and overseeing the administration, success and growth, of programs along with strategic initiatives that align with PDS and PDS Foundation culture, values and customer strategies. They are the primary spokesperson to constituents, the media and public. They must optimize all opportunities for Public Relations to share the good works for public awareness of the Foundations causes. They are responsible Other key duties include fundraising, strategic partner relations, cause marketing for campaigns, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the CAO, Senior Vice President, People for PDS and to the Board of Directors for the PDS Foundation (BOD).General ResponsibilitiesPDS Foundation Governance: Works with the BOD and executive leadership in order to fulfill the organizations mission.Responsible for leading the PDS Foundation in a manner that supports and guides the organization''s mission as defined by the BOD.Responsible for organizing and leading BOD bi-annual meetings.Responsible for communicating effectively with the BOD and providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the BOD to function properly and to make informed decisions.Financial Performance and Viability of the PDS Foundation: Develops resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the PDS Foundation and ability to sustain program initiatives.Responsible for the fiscal integrity of the PDS Foundation, to include submission to the BOD a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements, which accurately reflect the financial condition of the organization.Responsible for fundraising and developing other resources necessary to support the PDS Foundation''s mission.Responsible for timely filing of audits both internal and external, anticipates, maximizes resource utilization, and maintaining a positive financial position.Mission and Strategy: Works with BOD and staff to ensure that the PDS Foundation mission of Improving overall health, by improving oral health through creating opportunities to serve locally, nationally, and internationally is fulfilled. Responsible for implementation of PDS Foundation''s programs that carry out the organizations mission.Responsible for strategic planning to ensure that the PDS Foundation can successfully fulfill its mission.Responsible for the enhancement of the PDS Foundation''s image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other professional, civic and private anization Operations: Oversees and implements appropriate resources to ensure that the operations of PDS Foundation are appropriate.Responsible effective administration of all Foundation operations.Responsible for the hiring and retention of competent qualified staff, including the PDS Foundation Special Needs Office.Responsible for all communication and marketing toolkits for all community outreach events, sponsorships, and volunteering initiatives for the PDS Foundation.Responsible for engaging volunteers, participating in international service trips and ensuring that the PDS culture infiltrates key team member programs.Responsible for signing all notes, agreements, and other instruments made and entered into and on behalf of the PDS Foundation.Responsible for developing and maintaining standard operation procedures (SOP''s) current.Job ResponsibilitiesPlanning and operation of annual budget for the PDS Foundation.Establishing employment and administrative policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operations for the PDS Foundation.Serving as the primary spokesperson to constituents, the media and the public. Optimize all opportunities for Public Relations promoting PDS as a company committed to ''Giving Back.''Develop innovative ways to engage PDS Team Members and local communities PDS affiliated offices serve.Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations throughout the state and utilize those relationships to strategically enhance the PDS Foundation''s mission and PDS''s mission.Report to and work closely with the BOD to seek their involvement in policy decisions, fundraising and to increase the overall visibility of the PDS Foundation throughout the country.Collaborate with National ''We Serve'' manager and regional ''We Serve'' ambassadors championing a culture of service.Report monthly, quarterly and annual analytics to BOD and PDS executive leadership.Coordinate annual events such as Smile Generation Serve Day, Give Kids a Smile day,Stroll for Special Needs, and International Outreach trip.Supervise, collaborate with staff.Strategic planning and implementation.Oversee and organize BOD and committee meetings.Oversee website, marketing and other communications efforts.Review and approve contracts for services.Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Vice President, People or the BOD.Professional QualificationsA bachelor''s degree in marketing, public relations or businessTransparent and high integrity leadershipFive or more years senior nonprofit management experienceSolid, hands-on, budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reportingStrong organizational abilities including short and long-term planning, delegating, and program developmentAbility to convey a vision of the PDS strategic future for the Foundation and corporate social responsibility to staff, board, volunteers and donorsKnowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to nonprofit sectorSkills to collaborate with and motivate board members, donors and other volunteersStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to interface and engage diverse volunteer and donor groupsDesired QualificationsKnowledge of the Dental, Healthcare or Retail Industry Experience working with the special needs community Master''s Degree in related fieldBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offTuition Reimbursement401KPaid time to volunteer in your local communityPacific Dental Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
