Enterprise Applications is responsible for ensuring that the
technology objectives are aligned to the business goals in
Electronic Health Records and Practice Management Systems. This
position is responsible for leading the overall systems management,
operations, and support for the PDS business, supported offices,
and affiliated organizations.The incumbent in this hands-on
position will be required to develop and lead those teams, make
technical decisions and work closely with cross functional business
areas and other IT co-workers. This role will lead the planning,
designing, building, implementing, deploying and supporting the
EHRPMS services for PDS and its affiliated offices. Also act as the
primary relationship manager for PDS in this area and proactively
manage user requirements and expectations via regular
communications. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative enterprise application
strategies that align with the organization's goals and
objectives.
- Manage the development and implementation of creative and
user-centric enterprise applications, ensuring that they meet the
requirements of the organization.
- Lead a team of developers with a kind and heartfelt management
style, providing guidance, support, and fostering professional
growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and prioritize
enterprise application needs, promoting an innovative and
solutions-focused mindset.
- Ensure that enterprise applications are developed and
implemented in a timely and cost-effective manner, while
maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of enterprise
applications, identifying areas for improvement and implementing
creative solutions.
- Ensure that enterprise applications are secure and compliant
with relevant U.S. regulations and standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and other
external partners, encouraging open communication and
collaboration.Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or
a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development and project
management, with a focus on innovation and design.
- Experience in enterprise application architecture, development,
and fostering a culture of creativity.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track
record of compassionate and supportive people management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, promoting a
kind and collaborative work environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and
external partners, fostering a culture of innovation.Preferred
- Knowledge of relevant U.S. regulations and standards, such as
HIPAA and SOX.
- Experience in the dental industry or healthcare/multi-unit
retail industry.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge and experience of business and management principles
involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human
resources, leadership techniques, production methods, and
coordination of people and resources.
- Strong negotiation and technical procurement skills with
understanding of technology related contracts.
- Excellent skills in planning, managing, influencing, creating
successful outcomes, and working collaboratively. Strong oral and
written communication skills.
- Possesses "big picture" perspective and able to accomplish that
through proper level of articulation across team.
- Strong strategic thinking abilities to understand and process
complex information and exercise sound judgement.
- Strong abilities in managing the daily operations of
department(s) or work unit while developing long term (3-5 years)
goals.
- Outstanding leadership skills; plus exceptional time management
and prioritization abilities.
- Attack everything with drive and energy with an eye on the
bottom line; not afraid to initiate action before all the facts are
known; drive to finish everything he/she starts.
- Ability to build trust with those requiring coaching, create a
