role will be reporting to the VP of Liquids Technology and
Regulatory. This person will be responsible for guiding the
technical product development of cosmetics and OTC liquids. This
starts with the design phase, continues with the testing phase, and
finally supports commercialization.In this role, you will be
expected to manage and own the technical execution for formula
development and design, stability and safety testing, and
assessment of results.
- Assist Product Development with all technical aspects of
over-the-counter drugs and cosmetic liquids. Guide the technical
development path of our external resources.
- Provide input and guidance to regulatory compliance of liquids
& OTC drugs formulations.
- Support all facets of technical product compliance, including
product claims, label copy, ESG and packaging.
- Support product claims including claims creation, method
development, testing design, substantiation, and assist with
technical defense.
- Support internal and external QA resources to ensure that
products are manufactured to the highest standards.
- Provide support to Operations on all technical aspects of
formula manufacturing and raw material issues.
- Work closely with PD to support testing of new product concepts
and materials.
- Ability to match claim requirements to testing protocols to
create the accurate testing design
- Review and approve technical label copy.
- Support regulatory resources with technical formulation
expertise in the assessment and registration of products for
sale.Skills needed to be successful in this role:

balance science and the language of beauty products critical to
brand profile

- Excellent project management skills, and teamwork skillsMinimum
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science
- 15+ years in a Cosmetic Science related role
- 5 +years of bench work in cosmetic formulation
- Hands on experience developing a broad range of product types
including liquids, emulsions, suspensions, anhydrous systems, and
aerosols
- Proven understanding of raw material chemistry
- Subject matter expert in individual state and FDA Cosmetic/OTC
regulations
- Execution of stability testing protocols and interpretation of
results with an ability to provide corrective mentorship
- Design/placement of product efficacy testing with an
understanding of published methodologies common to our field
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time
basisPreferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in a Natural Science with preference to
Chemistry
- Knowledge of International regulationsIn California, Colorado,
and New York City, the standard base pay range for this role is
$111,537 - $186,110 annually/hourly. This base pay range is
specific to California, Colorado, and New York City and may not be
applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on
several factors, including but not limited to location, experience,
skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one
component of the total compensation package for
