With more than 30 years' experience, we have deep scientific expertise across a range of products, with a special focus on oligonucleotides.Why join us?As Human Resources Director, you will lead and direct the plans and activities of the Human Resources Department. This includes overseeing the daily activities of the department ensuring safe and compliant operations which adhere to budget, schedule, company, and corporate policies as well as applicable labor laws.Job DetailsResponsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and practices consistent with Nitto standards as well as local and national regulations that support the business objectives and enable a positive employee relations environment.
  • Develop HR strategy, implement and interpret policies and procedures that are in the long-term best interest of the business while meeting the needs of employees and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the organizational planning and development activities necessary to deliver the manpower required to meet scale up and ongoing operation of the business.
  • Ensure that the organization operates in compliance with applicable employment law/regulations and in support of an FDA regulated environment.
  • Administer employee compensation and benefits plans that that are competitive, cost effective and consistent with Nitto standards.
  • Implement and maintain employee training and development plans consistent with a culture of ongoing employee personal development.
  • Manage HR information systems and records for the business to provide required management information and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Investigate complaints including working conditions, disciplinary actions, employee complaints, and employee relations.
  • Guide, counsel and administer the performance management process from goal setting to reviews. Partner with functional managers in developing organization design and succession plans to optimize employee development & engagement.
  • Gather and analyze data to support KPIs, metrics and other management review reporting. Report results to management on a routine basis.
  • Lead and direct continuous improvement efforts within the department by developing more efficient techniques, processes, and procedures, adapting new technologies, and enhancing capabilities as well as smart automation.
  • Mentor, motivate and challenge to drive high performance and develop team members, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to the general management of the business as a member of the site leadership team.Qualifications - Experience and Education
    • The position requires a bachelor's degree with 10+ years' experience in an HR management role.
    • Experience providing HR support in a high technology regulated environment is required.
    • Ability to act effectively as HR coach and counselor maintaining credibility at all levels of the organization.
    • Advanced knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (both California and Federal), market trends in compensation administration, and competitive pay practices.
    • Advanced knowledge of job-related techniques and principles with an ability to work on non-routine assignments, requiring minimal instructions and limited supervision on new assignments.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving /decision-making skills with the ability to prepare contingency plans and future strategies proactively.
    • Professional presentation skills and ability to network, consult and influence senior leaders, demonstrating an executive presence.
