Supernal is at the forefront of creating emerging mobility

The Manager, Supplier Development reports to the Global Head of
Procurement & Supply Chain Partnerships. This role develops and
leads the implementation of Supernal's supplier development &
quality roadmap. This will include: supplier/partner identification
and selection, development and implementation of supply chain
plans, manufacturing strategy support, and supplier relationship
management. This role will lead/support projects across the entire
lifecycle: supplier identification, supplier qualification, new
product introduction, rate increase and mass production to meet
quality, total cost, timely delivery, and inventory goals. What you
can do:
- Develop, lead, and complete Supernal's supplier development &
quality roadmap
- Develop and implement streamlined processes and capabilities
that enhance the organization's ability to manage & improve
supplier quality in-line with Supernal's Quality Management System
'QMS'
- Establish and implement strategies & tactics to improve
candidate-supplier capabilities to meet/exceed Supernal's
affordability, schedule, and other business critical targets in
support of Supernal's short & long-term success
- Act as a consultant/conduit between Supernal Sourcing &
Procurement & supplier-candidates to improve their ability to
comply (or confirm compliance) with Supernal quality
requirements
- Contribute supplier quality management support/expertise for
low TRL/EIS-critical projects
- Identify, select & develop strategic supplier partnerships to
generate new supplier capability or proficiency to generate
competitive advantage. Includes determining required investment in
training & development
- Support and makes recommendations to facilitate Make vs Buy
strategy decisions
- Evaluate global market environment and make recommendations for
sourcing strategies
- Develop channels of supply to achieve reduced lead time and
inventory holding, increased quality and delivery and therefore the
lowest total cost
- Leadership of a cross functional team and ability to influence
decision making at all levels of the business
- Build the requisite team & technologies to accomplish roadmap
targets
- 50% travel requirement
- Other duties as assigned What you can contribute:
- Bachelor's degree in the fields of Engineering, Supply Chain,
Business, or related required
- A minimum or five (5) years of progressive experience in the
field of manufacturing (an equivalent combination of education and
experience may be considered)
- Experience working collaboratively with Supply Chain,
Procurement, & Subcontract Specialists
- Certification in Quality Management, Program Management, and/or
Lean/6 is valued
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills both
internally & externally
- Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Expert in Supplier Quality Management Systems 'SQMS in a
manufacturing environment
- Proficient in AS 9100 and/or IATF 16949
- Must have the ability to independently prioritize and
accomplish work within time constraints
- Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality
- Ability to understand sophisticated regulations/procedures
- Ability to manage and effectively prioritize multiple
workstreams simultaneously
- Requires strong analytical and creative problem-solving
abilities in ambiguous environment to understand and facilitate
complex supply chain decision making over the strategic time
window
- Good understanding of supply chain networks, linkage, and
flow
- Customer service orientation
- Proficiency with common quality management technologies and
methods You may also be able to contribute:
- MBA or MS preferred
- Fundamental understanding of e2e contracting in several
industries preferred
- Experience in Aerospace and/or Automotive industries
preferred
- 5 years of previous supervisory experience preferred Any offer
