MBK's extensive activities through its operating divisions, along with the size and scale of our development and building activities represent the continuation and commitment to American enterprise.We are currently seeking a HRIS Director for our office in Irvine, CA. This position is a hybrid position. (Two days working from home and three days in the office) Pay: $130-140k plus bonus The HRIS Director provides planning, project coordination, and management for the design, implementation, and support of a cost-effective, integrated human resources management system (HRMS), using current technologies, and touching all areas of HR. Manages HRIS initiatives aimed at improving business and system processes. Responsible for the day-to-day management of the HRIS team, ensuring deliverables are met and identifying opportunities for continued improvement. The HRIS Director will act as the business liaison with Human Resources, IT, Recruiting, Benefits, Learning, Payroll, and other teams for bridging HR Business Requirements. This individual serves as a technical point of contact and is the subject matter expert with ensuring data integrity, testing system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for effectiveness.Essential Duties

  • Responsible for day-to-day maintenance, management, and projects related to the Workday platform, including requirement-gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Lead and mentor team
  • Partner with subject matter experts across all subdisciplines (e.g., Benefits, Talent, Payroll, Learning, Finance) to simplify and optimize processes, reduce manual efforts, and enhance business capabilities.
  • Configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Workday integrations to third parties
  • Planning for needed resources and funding based on business needs and objectives. Balance vendor relationships and internal/external resourcing to support internal teams and goals.
  • Monitor the Workday community for reported bugs, fixes, and new enhancements relative to implemented modules
  • Review tasks and seek opportunities to refine processes in conjunction with the HRIS roadmap and leadership.
  • Train new and existing HRIS users on system functionality and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the HR management team in implementing updates and new features.
  • Create training manuals, user guides, and documentation of HR business processes.
  • Identify and document system deficiencies and recommend solutions.Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
    • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of Federal, State, and Local human resources regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, FLSA, ACA).
    • Strong knowledge of HRIS database design, structure, functions, and processes, and experience with databases tools
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management ability
    • Able to interact with and present to multiple levels of the organization
    • Must be self-motivated and customer focusedRequirements
      • Minimum six years of HRIS and Project Management experience
      • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
      • HRIS implementation experience
        • 3-5 years of human resources experience in a multi-state organization in an industry with a high non-exempt population
        • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook): an electronic time and attendance system, and various HRIS applications
