Employees who feel passionate about the Edwards credo and dedication to community. - -We are hiring for a Sr. Director, Global Compensation who will be the strategic compensation partner for our Global Supply Chain and Quality organization and lead several enterprise-wide compensation programs.This role will sit on the Total Rewards Leadership Team and lead a team of six globally based professionals. In this role you will lead the development and implementation of compensation strategies and market competitive compensation programs that enable Edwards to attract and retain the employees needed to meet the objectives of the company.Based in Irvine, CA with flexible, hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities: -Direct compensation activities for Global Supply Chain, Quality, and multiple manufacturing plants, and a compensation team of six professionals.Establish strategy and develop corporate and/or organizational policies and authorize their implementation. Develop a robust strategic talent development and succession plan in alignment with functional growth strategies of Global Supply Chain and Quality. -Plan and direct multiple strategic, enterprise-level projects with highest criticality including prioritizing and selecting appropriate projects. - Direct team to create solutions to complex problems in alignment with pay strategies to ensure market competitiveness of compensation programs (annual merit/bonus process, total cash compensation, salary structures, starting pay, job architecture, etc.). - - Act as a program leader for compensation programs (e.g., salary budget planning, plant car benefit programs, manager training) with responsibility for defining program strategy and leading the execution and delivery of programs -Analyze, formulate, and provide expert level recommendations and guidance to HR and executive leadership of our global supply chain and quality organization to solve complex challenges that meet business needs. - Deliver executive level communication across functions and regions that impact multiple areas of the business. -Set overall compensation strategy for Global Supply Chain and Quality and implement pay strategies utilizing complex market competitive and cost impact analysis. - Lead efforts to optimize processes by assessing needs and developing, proposing, and leading implementations. -Evaluate jobs using expert knowledge of job design and a global job architecture to establish market pricing benchmarks, salary structure assignment, and incentive target recommendations.Basic Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree -Experience managing the salary budget process and annual merit and bonus review processes -Experience leading a team of 3+ direct reports -Expert understanding of related aspects of global compensation processes and/or systems -Expert knowledge and understanding of procedures while identifying applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems as it relates to global compensation. -Demonstrated ability to manage one or more teams and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations -Ability to provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams to successfully implement global enterprise systems and related solutions -Ability to present manager training to large audiences and effectively respond to questions and concerns raised during the training -Proven expertise in usage of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and related compensation data management tools. - Working knowledge of HRIS, preferably Workday.Preferred Qualifications: -Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) -Experience developing compensation strategy for manufacturing plants in multiple countries -Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills including consultative and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives -Expert problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills -Expert negotiation and conflict resolution skills -Ability to develop and integrate metrics into complex projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of global compensation to the business -Very strong leadership skills and ability to influence change in complex situations, and interact with all organizational levels, including executive leadership -Ability to assess risks, analyze complex situations and determine next course of action. -Ability to manage internal and external confidential information with utmost discretion -Ability to exercise judgment in complex situations to determine approach and direction to get alignment and buy-in before reaching a solution -Strict attention to detail, accuracy, and demonstrated ability to perform statistical analysis, critical thinking, and utilize database management tools to provide analysis and solutions to problems -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance a dynamic workload with constantly changing priorities, deadlines, and project scopes -Ability to frequently interact with internal and external management and senior-level stakeholders concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarificationsEdwards is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer including protected Veterans and individuals with disabilities.COVID Vaccination RequirementEdwards is committed to complying with the requirements and guidance from our government authorities and to protecting our vulnerable patients and the healthcare providers who are treating them around the world.
