Hanwha Q CELLS USA Corp ("HQC US") develops, invests, and delivers solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects through Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) services in North America.

The Corporate Strategy Manager is responsible for supporting the key growth initiatives of renewable energy development business in the US region by coordinating development strategy, market intelligence, M&A activities (not limited to solar and storage) and new business/strategic development initiatives (renewable energy related, including data center, hydrogen, long duration storage, block chain, etc.).

This role will directly support all teams in terms of specific research, opportunity origination, valuation and execution. This role will be responsible for the creation and delivery of analysis that enables data-driven, informed decision-making in complex, new and changing business environments, and present to Headquarters (HQ).

This position reports to the Head of Business Development Strategy, or another senior management personnel that the Senior Vice President/President of the Company may designate. This position may be required to travel up to 20% of the time.


  • 30% - Market Research and Competitive Analysis; Acquire, research, structure and analyze data from public, industry and proprietary sources; Independently develop and maintain business intelligence databases for the development team; Monitor market trends, build analyses, produce presentations, identify and review potential acquisition targets, present to senior executives
  • 30% - Support M&A Opportunity Origination and Execution; Support business development activities linked to strategy, including customer identification, outreach, diligence and risk assessment; Support and organize cross-functional collaboration with internal development focused teams; Manage project-specific workstreams, including internal approval processes and external customer responses as process manager
  • 20% - Support communication with HQ: Provide strategic support for Monthly Business Reviews, Executive/Investment Committee meetings, group requests/meetings, and C-level client engagements as needed
  • 15% - Other duties as assigned

    • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business or a related technical field; MBA preferred
    • Minimum 3 years professional experience with strong quantitative analytics background; experience in management consulting or corporate strategy is preferred
    • Energy industry experience is preferred; familiarity with renewable energy preferred
    • Self-directed with ability to work independently and effectively lead multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to communicate with cross-functional teams at multiple levels of the organization
    • Advanced computer skills - MS Excel, Word, Power Point, data management or visualization tools
    • Business operations and/or financial management experience is a plus
    • Extraordinary business judgment and ability to assess impact of decisions on overall business performance
    • Strong project management skills and can manage scope, meet timelines, and present insights to senior leaders within the organization
    • Must be bilingual in English and Korean

      • 90% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 10% of time is spent outside of the office visiting various partners in additional to attending various conferences and meetings
