Job Description:
WHAT YOU'LL DO: May write policies, procedures, and bulletins
regarding bank deposit operations, incorporating changes in
government regulations, and improvements in internal processes and
procedures. Identifies areas of risk and makes recommendations for
changes to meet compliance requirements. Makes recommendations
concerning operating methods and procedures for improved efficiency
and risk reduction to meet the objectives of the Bank. Provides
guidance, advice, and assistance on a wide variety of bank deposit
operations issues to Retail Banking, Corporate Banking Operations,
Trust, and Wealth Management managers and employees. Works with
management and staff affected by compliance issues to ensure proper
training, understanding and implementation of all new policies and
procedures Manage staff who visit offices and review internal
controls, design forms, attend meetings as Subject-Matter Expert
and facilitate the rollout of new systems and services, providing
guidance issues and legal documentation. Provides direction,
guidance, and coaching to subordinate staff, including issues
involving sensitivity and risk. Counsels employees on performance
and behavior issues, and takes corrective action. Evaluates the
effectiveness of operational processes through analysis of
activity, statistics and related reports. Develops implements,
evaluates and monitors processes to control operating losses,
improve productivity and customer service while mitigating risk to
the Bank. Formulates tests and recommends new operational
procedures for areas as needs are identified. Works with a team to
develop appropriate agreements, forms, and disclosures for
operations products. Interfaces with internal and external
auditors, examiners and legal counsel to provide information and
answer questions. Oversees corrective action. Evaluates for
adequacy, related to risk and operational efficiency, impact on
related operations and cost effectiveness Participates on various
Bank-wide committees including BSA, OFAC, ID Theft Red Flags,
Deposit Ops, Fraud and Operational Risk Management Committee. WHO
YOU ARE: Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations affecting
transactions and deposit accounts. Thorough knowledge of banking
industry norms in deposit operations. Expert knowledge of banking
systems and navigation techniques in support of retail operations.
Full range of knowledge of the Bank's deposit products and
services. General knowledge of the Bank's full range of products
and services. Analytical ability to apply logic to data from a
variety of sources to determine patterns and trends and find
creative solutions to problems. Skill in attention to detail.
Excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing to all
levels of the Bank and regulatory organizations. Minimum 5-7 years
Banking experience preferred, with 3-5 years experience managing
