Account Manager Rawson/Industrial Controls (A Relevant

efficiently.Position Summary:This position offers the option to
work from a home office in the Milwaukee, WI market only, or from
our Service Center located in Milwaukee.The Account Manager is
tasked with successfully developing and strengthening Rawson/ICD
relationships with customers, identifying needs and opportunities
within and across product lines, and providing value to customers
while strengthening business results. You will work as part of a
collaborative team to drive sales by focusing on acquisition,
development, retention and management of strategic clients in
designated territories. What You'll Do:
- Develop strong business relationships with assigned and new
customers leading to increased opportunities and sales for the
company
- Engage customers in discussions, generating value-add
solutions
- Focus on developing new customers while continuing to grow our
existing target customer base
- Research and report marketplace and competitive information for
sales strategy planning
- Develop and implement the territory sales plan in conjunction
with sales management and inside sales partners
- Develop technical proficiency in one of more product
categories
- Partner with Product Specialists and Quote teams to provide
sales solutions and quotes, and with the Orders team to processes
orders
- Interface daily with the Customer Service team regarding
quotations and order processing information pertaining to your
Target Accounts
- Attend weekly reviews and monthly sales meetings with your
District Sales Manager to review forecasts and territory
activities
- Coordinate with Quote Team Leads and the Customer Service Order
Team Lead to keep account activities updated
- Monitor delivery date commitments and expedite where
appropriate
- Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures
What You'll Need:
- Strong understanding of industrial process control
applications, including a working knowledge of instrumentation,
process controls, and valve automation. A background in automation
sales is favorable.
- Account management skills including the ability to work with
multiple layers and functions within a customer organization.
- Ability to identify customers' underlying needs and offer
bundled, engineered solutions to generate value for the
customer.
- Ability to work in a team-selling environment, using available
resources and helping teammates where needed.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, above average
mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interact with a diverse
customer base.
- Presentation skills with ability to read an audience and tailor
messaging to its needs.
- Proficiency in math skills including addition, subtraction,
multiplication and division in units of measure. Additionally, you
must be able to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions
and decimals.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word,
Outlook, and Excel.
- Outside sales experience is preferred.
- University degree in engineering, business, or related area of
study preferred; will consider equivalents
