We're looking for compliance professionals with HEART. The Compliance Monitoring role is an integral component of the ethics and compliance program by identifying, examining and mitigating compliance risk to Edwards as well as evaluating and strengthening the effectiveness of the compliance program. This role is also important in cultivating a culture of compliance at Edwards.A Day in the Life:---This position is a matrixed role which will have primary responsibilities leading the Monitoring aspects of the program while also supporting Investigations, under the leadership of the VP, Compliance Investigations and Monitoring.---Play a lead role in the design and implementation of the global compliance monitoring framework to provide independent, risk-based monitoring of multiple regulatory compliance practice areas---Play a lead role in developing and administering an annual compliance monitoring plan in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders---Lead administration, documentation, reporting and tracking of monitoring reviews and results for reporting to senior executives and Board of Directors.---Develop content, analyze data and occasionally present, all interim and ad hoc reporting on monitoring, metrics and analytics.---Support and conduct internal investigations and review deviations from policies, procedures and the Titanium Book all of which are brought forward from the various avenues of the Speak Up program; provide guidance and assistance on international compliance investigations as needed; work directly with internal and external legal counsel in complex investigations providing both subject matter expertise and internal management to ensure timely completion and documentation---Develop and document relevant remediation action plans as coordinated with the business owners based on root cause analysis; follow-up on all action plans to ensure timely implementation and documentation---Manage and maintain various tracking systems used for case management and reporting; ensure data is timely input, accurate and consistent; develop job aids and training as needed---Manage and assist in the developing, implementing and training on relevant procedures---Contribute to the enhancement of compliance processes by identifying opportunities for improved adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards---Other incidental duties as requestedRequired Education & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in in Accounting/FinanceMinimum 12 years of experience of experience in compliance, investigations, audit/risk management, and/or monitoringInternal Audit and/or Investigations; and/or CPA RequiredPreferred Education & Experience:Master's Degree or Juris Doctorate degree and 10 years of experience of in investigatory and audit techniquesPrevious experience developing and administering a global compliance monitoring programAdditional Skills:Able to solve complex compliance issues while exhibiting sound judgement and objectivity; systematic approach to decision making; strong attention to detail; solid analytical/problem solving skills; determining root cause; and identifying viable and alternate solutionsExperience in monitoring and transaction testing with medical device companies, public international companies and/or relevant consulting experience with large audit firmsExtensive experience in compliance monitoring/transaction testing/audit and risk management, with particular focus on identification of anti-bribery and corruption red flagsAbility to communicate and escalate concerns, identify risks and deficiencies, develop practical compliance solutions, problem solving and interpersonal skillsFirm understanding of industry practices and disciplines from prior implementation and/or development of global compliance monitoring and testing frameworksProven successful experience in developing and executing all phases of an investigation plan including: collection, review and analysis of data, information and records; conducting interviews; documenting work completed; drafting findings and conclusions; accountability for successful completionExcellent verbal and written communication skills that are effective with the appropriate tact and diplomacy for all levels of the organization as well as for outside counselStrong, independent ethical decision making with a demonstrated commitment to integrity and compliance; leads by example in cultivating the culture of complianceMust be highly collaborative with the ability to garner the trust of others, build productive internal and external professional relationships with the ability to influence others in a multi-cultural environmentAbility to manage confidential information with discretionAbility to effectively coach and mentor diverse team members on investigation and monitoring techniques and proceduresMust be able to manage change positively and have comfort with technologyProven expertise in MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) required;
