.ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:The Technical Services Manager
III is a key leadership role in the Manufacturing Site Operations.
As an assigned representative to the Product Line for the specific
manufacturing area, the Technical Services Manager will be the
owner of all the day to day Technical Services related activities
in the area. This position will lead the Technical Services
resources to provide day to day support in terms of maintenance,
process/manufacturing engineering and automation/controls
engineering. Together with the applicable Product leaders for
Manufacturing and Quality, the Technical Services leader will own
the performance of the manufacturing area against the key business
objectives such as safety, quality, compliance, production output
and Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM). The incumbent in this role
will lead, hire, develop, manage, coach and mentor all Technical
Services resources in the area to improve and sustain their
performance. This position will be directly accountable to manage
performance of equipment and systems plus processes to improve the
output, efficiency or quality of the manufactured products. In the
matrix environment, this position will report solid-line to the
Director of Technical Services. Responsibilities: Essential
Duties
- Plans, directs and monitors preventative and corrective
maintenance and repair activities so that the organization's
buildings, facilities, machinery and equipment operate
reliably.
- Plans, prioritizes, schedules and manages maintenance
activities (for example planned maintenance programs, shutdowns or
emergency repairs) to rectify break downs and malfunctions and
minimize business disruptions.
- Develops and implements repair and maintenance procedures;
monitor the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize
resources, priorities spending and achieve timeliness, reliability
and safety standards.
- Researches, evaluates and recommends new maintenance equipment
and tools to enhance the capabilities of the maintenance team.
- Evaluates, selects and manages relationships with external
contractors (for example builders or electricians) to minimize
costs and ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards
of service.
- Liaises with functional or operational area managers throughout
the organization (for example in production or branch, store,
facility or plant managers) to coordinate scheduled maintenance
activities with their operations.
- Estimates the cost, time and resources required for repair
projects; prepares work orders and monitors the progress of work
against estimates.
- Lead Maintenance Excellence initiatives and drives continuous
improvements of maintenance systems aligned with the Strategic
Business Based Maintenance for the Site.
- Lead production equipment optimization efforts to minimize
equipment downtime and drive line efficiencies improvements.
- Drives Process Knowledge and Process understanding training
initiatives for the team.
- Drive Maintenance cost improvements and Maintenance Reliability
improvements.
- Leads, directs, evaluates and develops maintenance staff so
that repair and service activities are completed accurately, safely
and on time.
- Additional Responsibilities for Electrical Engineering:
- Plans, directs and monitors preventative and corrective
maintenance and repair activities so that the organization's
electrical system, building management system and firefighting
protection system operate reliably.
- Plans, directs and monitors the activities of housekeeping,
pest control, landscaping, laundry, canteen management and inter
plant shuttle services.
- Responsible for personnel actions including hiring, performance
management and termination.The job function listed is not

by the Supervisor from time to time. General:It shall be the duty

Knowledge & Skills
- Requires breadth of professional field and industry knowledge.
Ability to integrate critical information and champion advanced
strategies/concepts through the organization. Drives development of
advanced technologies, principles and processes.
- Manages activities of a functional area which has at least 2
departments or major functions through managers and/or experienced
employees. Responsible for cost, method, and employee results.
- Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on
experience.
- Interacts with internal and/or external clients and customers
to negotiate and interpret information on projects and unit
operations. May consult with senior management.
- Bachelor's degree BSEE, Experience with Pharmaceutical,
Biotechnology or Medical Devices manufacturing process, Exposure to
high automated manufacturing lines preferred.

- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
- 12+ years related experience required.
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Occasional business travel required, Valid driver's license and
passport While performing the duties of this job, the employee is

is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and
