Reneo Pharmaceuticals--is a clinical stage pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of therapies for patients with rare genetic mitochondrial diseases, which are often associated with the inability of mitochondria to produce adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Reneo is developing REN001 to modulate genes critical to metabolism and generation of ATP, which is the primary source of energy for cellular processes. REN001 has been shown to increase transcription of genes involved in mitochondrial function and increase fatty acid oxidation, and may increase production of new mitochondria.----ROLE: Senior Human Resources Manager--REPORTING TO: Senior Director of Corporate Operations
POSITION SUMMARY:--The Sr. Manager is responsible for the day-to-day human resources operations, and will recommend, gain support for, and implement an HR strategy that supports the long-term business objectives of Reneo Pharmaceuticals.--This position will be the primary point of contact for Reneo's PEO, and will ensure that the PEO is aligned with our business strategy, and that the supporting tactics are being implemented effectively and efficiently. ----The HR Manager/Sr. Manager will continuously assess the organization to anticipate business needs and provide solutions to business issues utilizing HR best practices.--As a company in high-growth mode, the HR Sr. Manager will recommend and implement tools and procedures that will scale to support the long-term growth of the organization and will ensure that HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and communicated effectively, while maintain up-to-date compliance records.
--ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:--These include, but are not limited to:

  • Be the primary contact for the organization's PEO.--Hold regular meetings to ensure Reneo's strategies are being communicated and implemented in an efficient manner.
  • Manage the recruitment and on-boarding process.
  • Develop and ensure compliance with standard HR policies and procedures.--Ensures organization-wide understanding of these programs.
  • Responsible for partnering and consulting with senior leadership team on all HR initiatives for respective areas of support.
  • Provides insightful, confidential and business- focused guidance to leaders on all matters related to organizational development. Leads succession planning and cross-functional talent discussions with leadership teams.
  • Ensure employee files are up to date at all times.
  • Engage with leaders in workforce planning, identifying talent gaps and risk, and developing strategy for meeting talent needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are compliant.
  • Be the culture champion for Reneo pharmaceuticals through a period of high-growth----SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: --
    • Bachelor Degree in Business or Human Resources
    • Requires minimum of 7 years of Human Resources experience.
    • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)
    • Strong Excel and analytical skills
    • Experience in a high-growth environment and team- oriented culture
    • Have a strong track record of results achieved through collaboration, influence skills, and organizational and change management skills--EFFORT REQUIRED & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: ---
      • Primarily office-based with an expectation to be in the Irvine, CA office three or more days per week
      • We are usually able to complete our objectives during normal working hours, however work in the evenings and weekends will be required from time to time if necessary to meet timelines and objectives.
      • Requires the physical ability to be mobile in office and professional environment, to finger and grasp materials, use manual computer input methods, and to communicate effectively. Vision demands good depth perception and availability to manipulate objects in three dimensions. On a continuous basis, time is spent sitting, standing, and walking.--Lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.--Also requires the mental ability to read and comprehend policies, procedures, instructions, etc., to write reports, to use logic and data to solve problems, to assess needs, and varying degrees of independence, judgment, and discretion.
      • The noise level in the office work environment is usually low to moderate
