Senior Vice President of OperationsIdeal candidate will reside in Southern California - Relocation package available.Sr. Vice President of Operations at the direction of the COO and in collaboration with the Executive Team, the Senior Vice President of Operations oversees all community operations, driving operational excellence in alignment with company mission and values. This position focuses on achieving financial and operational results through the creation of new processes and efficiencies, maintaining key operational procedures and controls, and making sound decisions based upon business metrics.Essential Job Functions

  • Provides strategic and operational guidance and leadership to the Regional Vice Presidents of Operations, ensuring that all communities are performing operationally and financially as required, and that the Management Group is executing on its commitments outlined in the Management Agreements.
  • Leads the development of and is responsible for the implementation of comprehensive business plans, programs, initiatives, and strategies that promote the achievement of optimum operational, financial, and business performance of the company.
  • Identifies, develops, implements, and oversees operational policies and procedures that will improve the overall effectiveness of the organization, in collaboration with key leaders across the organization; gauges effectiveness and efficiency of internal processes through the creation of valid measurement tools.
  • Aligns company results from both an operational and financial perspective, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, along with others; coaches operations leaders to achieve favorable financial results with respect to revenue generating activities, profitability, cash flow, systems, reporting and controls.
  • Collaborates with other Executive leaders in budget planning, forecasting and resource allocation.
  • Ensures success of new development ventures, including overseeing the market study process, creating and executing the pro forma, hiring critical personnel within established timeframes, and meeting lease-up timelines and occupancy targets.
  • Works closely with Executive leadership to create and implement new operational processes, internal infrastructure changes and reporting systems that are designed to foster growth, profitability and efficiencies within the company.
  • Maintains regular and open lines of communication with direct reports and all staff in order to provide direction, guidance, and general information as needed.
  • Recommends, initiates and implements initiatives that will contribute to a continuous standard of quality and improvement within the company.
  • Sets challenging yet attainable goals for growth, performance and profitability, spearheading the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies.
  • Helps Regional Operations leadership to resolve escalated operational or personnel challenges in partnership with Human Resources, Regulatory and Risk as needed.
  • Identifies, mentors and develops talent within the organization, with a keen focus on creating a strong bench of talent to serve as the next generation of company leaders.
  • Ensures adherence to all applicable company policies and procedures and state, local, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort through demonstration of professional standards, respect, and cooperation with others including vendors, third parties, and all team members; fosters a growth-oriented, positive and encouraging environment while driving accountability at all levels.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality standards and ethical business practices.
  • Must be willing to travel within the States of California and Nevada.
  • Other duties as assigned.Required Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required; Master's Degree in Business Administration highly desired.
    • 5 - 7 years of executive level operational experience required.
    • Experience in senior living and/or multi-unit hospitality or service industry strongly preferred.
