Job Description:
Description The Ammonia Refrigeration Technician is responsible
for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of
industrial refrigeration systems that use ammonia as a refrigerant.
The technician will ensure the safe and efficient operation of
refrigeration equipment, maintain compliance with safety
regulations, and provide technical expertise to clients. Key
Responsibilities: • Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot
ammonia refrigeration systems • Conduct regular inspections of
equipment and perform preventative maintenance • Respond to
emergency breakdowns and diagnose problems with refrigeration
systems • Use specialized tools and equipment to repair and replace
defective components • Ensure compliance with safety regulations,
environmental standards, and company policies • Maintain accurate
records of work performed and parts used • Provide technical
expertise to clients and recommend upgrades or modifications to
improve system efficiency • Collaborate with team members and
communicate effectively with clients and management • Participate
in training and professional development to enhance skills and
knowledge Qualifications Qualifications: • High school diploma or
equivalent • Certification in refrigeration or HVAC systems
preferred • 2 years of experience in industrial refrigeration
maintenance and repair • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems
and safety regulations • Strong mechanical aptitude and
problem-solving skills • Ability to read and interpret technical
manuals and schematics • Basic computer skills and proficiency in
Microsoft Office • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites
Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment
and supplies up to 50 lbs • Ability to work in confined spaces and
at heights • Ability to work in cold temperatures and wear personal
protective equipment • Ability to climb ladders, use power tools,
and perform manual labor • Ability to stand or sit for long periods
of time and work in a variety of environments
