Our client, operates in the power management industry. It
specializes in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical power
solutions for various sectors, including aerospace, automotive,
energy, industrial, and commercial applications is seeking a
Electrical Sustaining Engineer II. Job Title: Electrical Sustaining
Engineer II Location: Irvine, CA Pay Range: $40 - $45 What's the
Job? What You'll Do:
- Support manufacturing and troubleshoot circuit board assemblies
using standard lab equipment (power supply, oscilloscope, logic
analyzer, DMM, etc.).
- Work independently on projects and collaborate with
cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering
outcomes.
- Conduct research, analysis, and experimentation to support
engineering, making data-driven decisions and recommendations.
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical
documentation in accordance with project requirements and industry
standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize
engineering processes and methodologies. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to the
position (OrCAD, Allegro, Altium, PSpice).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply engineering
principles to solve technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to
diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a lab
environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and
priorities effectively. Preferred Skills:
- Solid knowledge of analog and digital circuit design,
optoelectronics design, microprocessor/microcontroller hardware
design, and sensor interfaces.
- Experience with circuit simulation using PSpice and
troubleshooting digital communication interfaces (RS485, I2C, SPI).
- Understanding of embedded software and Visual Basic is a plus.
- Proficiency in using lab equipment such as power supplies,
oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and DMMs.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards,
US Citizen.
- Knowledge of advanced engineering techniques and methodologies.
- Certification or training in relevant engineering disciplines.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design
