(Electronics) for a perm job opportunity located in Irvine CA. The
Electronics Manufacturing Engineer in the Electronic Department
must be able to identify, develop and implement continuous
improvement in manufacturing processes in a Electronics Dept. thru
the use of lean techniques. Able to review the drawings and suggest

Job Description
The Electronics Manufacturing Engineer in the Electronic Department
must be able to identify, develop and implement continuous
improvement in manufacturing processes in a Electronics Dept. thru
the use of lean techniques. Able to review the Dwgs. and suggest
any improvements to reduce cost, re-works or scraps.
Experience to include:
Continuous improvement of manufacturing and business processes
through the application of lean techniques: Value Stream Mapping,
5S, work cells, pull systems, error-proofing and visual
management.
Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and
workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum
efficiency.
Confers with design engineers concerning product design (DFM) and
tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Works with suppliers to determine product specifications, evaluate
processes and capabilities and train on lean techniques.
Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related
costs to provide information for management decisions.
Documents general manufacturing procedures and part-specific work
instructions.
Responsible for BOM coding (make or buy decisions and assigning
commodity codes).
Must be an expert in the following areas: Circuit Card Assemblies,
J-STD-001, Cable/Harness Assemblies & Conductive Bonding. Will be
called upon to train others.
Must be eligible to obtain DoD Security Clearance and be a US
Citizen.
Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S./BSc) from a four-year
college or university majoring in electronics or equivalent; and 3
to 5 years related experience and/or training.
Must Have 1-3 Years Experience Applying Lean Techniques.
Expected to be a subject-matter expert in one or more of the
following disciplines: Electronics, RF & Fiber optics
Computer skills: Must be proficient using a personal computer,
spreadsheets & word processing.
