What you'll be doing

As the Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will be at the forefront of new product development for Class II medical devices and disposables. Your responsibilities span the full development cycle from concept to 510(k) cleared product.

The focus is electro-pneumatic devices, wearables and related accessories that improve the lives of the patients we serve.

What you will bring

• Bachelors degree required with 8+ years of medical device and/or disposables experience or Masters with 6+ years
• Demonstrable results in medical device and /or disposables development
• Must have learning agility, excellent verbal, and written communication skills
• Experience in the delivery of new products to the marketplace
• Experience and expertise designing injection molded thermoplastic parts
• Experience in biocompatibility testing and appropriate material selection preferred
• Strong desire to learn Bernoulli flow and its application to respiratory therapy preferred
• Results orientation and the desire to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a team environment.
  
  The position is located in the Irvine facility. Hybrid work schedule with minimum of 3 days in office.
  
  Some travel (-10%) will be required, both domestic and international.
  
  We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 to $180,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
