Eaton's Aerospace Division is currently seeking -a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team. - Position Overview: Come join a dynamic, fast paced, team working on technology and components for the next generation of military and commercial aircraft. - The Senior Electronics Engineer will provide expertise for design and development of electronics for both commercial and military aerospace applications. You will have the opportunity to interact with engineers from all disciplines and learn -about the future of aviation while gaining invaluable hands-on experience. - Some of the platforms you will be working on include fuel gauging systems and nose wheel steering systems, both in production and currently being developed. • Interface -with fuel system engineers and other employees to define/allocate requirements for hardware and software.
• Support design and development of low power and high-power analog / digital electronics for aircraft fuel systems.
• Participate in schematic capture, parts selection, board layout and prototyping of experimental hardware.
• Prepare design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and project status reviews for internal/external customers and management.
• Document function, design and test of electronic hardware and possible software, including Product Specifications, development -test procedures, QTP, QSR, QAR, QTR, ATP.
• Support qualification -and development -testing of components including definition, fabrication and operation of ATE.
• Provide project engineering support for low and high-power digital/analog electronic LRUs for aircraft fuel systems.   • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of design and development of electronic components and systems experience.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). - All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Irvine, CA OR Los Angeles, CA will be considered.
  • Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications:
    • Knowledge in the design and development of airborne electronics, both low power / high power and -analog/digital.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or similar from an accredited institution.
    • Prior aerospace industry experience is strongly preferred.
