Technical/Functional Skills:

• Use of electrical instruments, environmental chambers, hand tools, operate systems such as: medical devices, Benchtop power supplies, DMM, Oscilloscope, Crimp tools. solder iron, laptop, cameras, drills.
  
  
  Roles & Responsibilities:
  
  
  
  
  
• Works under direct supervision and independently to construct & perform experiments, research and test activities related to product reliability.
  
• Sets up, operates, and maintains electronic laboratory instruments and equipment.
  
• Report and follow up on issues, progress and seek help when needed, document progress.
  
• Cleans and maintains laboratory equipment, tools, glassware, and lab areas.
  
• Maintains laboratory inventory of consumables.
  
• Interfaces with Metrology department, and ensures calibrated instruments are properly documented and submitted for calibration on time.
  
• Use written material to help troubleshoot issues and perform tasks.
  
• Build test experiment and run/program Labview test programs.
  
• local travel may be required (up to 5%).
  
• Certification in soldering, crimping, electronics assembly, ESD, quality or reliability is nice to have.
  
• Experience with environmental temperature and humidity chambers or HALT chambers is a plus.
  
• Experience with Medical devices is a plus.

• Suggest improvements and follow through to completion. Knowledge of programming in LabView is a plus.

• Ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously and work under deadlines, pressure and fast turnarounds.

• Analyze and review submissions based on product type, development lifecycle stage and the interpretation of the significance of the proposed change.
  
• Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives.
