ACARA Solutions and our client in Irvine, CA have a contract-to-direct hire position Hands-on debug expertise and proven detailed RF knowledgePrincipal Engineering Technician

• The Principal Engineering Technician will act as a leader and mentor to new technicians, by providing technical expertise in problem analysis and solutions utilizing complex instrumentation and software.
• This will entail performing a wide variety of the most complex technical tasks to support, design, develop, modify, and improve equipment, tools, processes, product, procedures, and documentation.
• Use of complex electronic test equipment including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, RF signal generators, and waveform analyzers
• Implement test set-ups, perform tests, collects results, and maintain appropriate logs
• Provide technical expertise in problem analysis and solutions utilizing complex instrumentation and software
• Assists in the development of new/revised products and programs
• Technical support lead in the development of prototypes
• Trainer for less skilled technical personnel
• Can be expected to lead, direct, and organize Technician work
• Works with associates and other departments and participates in cross-functional relationships
• Develops test specifications and procedures
• Prepares reports, documentation/specifications
• Helps to manage daily/weekly/monthly priorities with test team members flowed down by Operations supervisor/planner
• Manages workload in test department with weekly updates to Manager by using daily production reports and direction from Operations Supervisor
• Moves material within the Oracle ERP system once completed with test functions
