Huitt-Zollars' Irvine, California office has an excellent full-time career opportunity for a Civil Engineer In Training ( EIT) with a BSCE Degree from an accredited University. This opportunity is for a New Graduate with 0 to 4 years of experience, advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation. The role will work collaboratively in a team environment providing engineering design for public works infrastructure and transportation projects.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• 
  Produce design plans for public agency projects; roads, streets, storm drain, sewer, water and reclaimed water, trails, schools, utilities, site, and civil facilities
  
  
• 
  Design and drafting of site development projects and offsite improvements; potential for work in other practice areas (public works, transportation) as workload dictates; site work includes grading, drainage, LID
  
  
• 
  Assist project manager with of design plans, specifications, construction support, cost estimating, geotechnical coordination
  
  
• 
  Produce design and construction drawings incorporating information from supervisor, research data and consultants for various projects including land development grading, utility, drainage, paving plans, etc.

  Research materials and assemblies for design and construction drawings as directed by supervisor
  
  
  Requirements
  
  • 
    
  • 
    B.S. in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
    
    
  • 
    0-4 years' related experience
    
    
  • 
    obtaining or obtained a FE Certificate and demonstrate progressing responsibility toward being a professional engineer
    
    
  • 
    Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excelengineer
    
    
  • 
    Capability to utilize AutoCAD
    
    
  • 
    Strong organizational skills
    
    
  • 
    Good Communication Skills

    Works well in a Team Environment
