As a Senior Applications Engineer you will work in collaboration with the Product Manager and apply your wide-ranging expertise to each application & project, including skills in understanding requirements, standardization, software configuration, process control, instrumentation, knowledge of software programming, validation testing, documentation, field commissioning, and more. Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Lead delivery of new applications in collaboration with Product Managers.
  
• Maintain and update standard libraries for application and project development.
  
• Lead Design Review technical meetings.
  
• Prepare project specifications for the control system applications.
  
• Prepare and participate in internal testing and customer witnessed acceptance tests.
  
• Establish and maintain quality performance, cost, functionality and configuration options for the applications in the portfolio.
  
• Provide global product support during tender, project execution and field operation of relevant product portfolio.
  
• Interface with Project Managers for scheduling and resource management.

  To succeed in this role you should possess the following:
  
  • 
    
  • BSc with minimum 7-9 years' experience or MSc.
    
  • 7+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably in process control.
    
  • Working knowledge of the energy industry.
    
  • Working knowledge of collaboration tools like Jira, BitBucket, and Confluence.
    
  • Working knowledge concerning the available types of, and the application of control system instrumentation.
    
  • Engineering design/drawing standards including P&IDs, flow sheets, logic drawings, loop drawings, electrical one lines, etc.
    
  • Experienced in relevant codes, design- and testing standards for Products to be included in a control system.
    
  • Experience with configuration of software and hardware systems for use in control systems.
    
  • Experience with embedded software and system development for application in control systems.
    
  • Experience in use of tools for modelling, specification, testing and verification of complex functionality implemented in process control systems.
    
  • Knowledge in operation of DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems and the corresponding interfaces such as Modbus, MQT, and OPC.
    
  • Experience with specification, detailed design, qualification, testing and maintenance of control system products.
    
  • Expert in solving complex product and system issues.
    
  • Expert in establishing Product definition including testing based on Customer requirements, applicable codes and standards including company requirements.
    
  • Experienced in reviewing CAD models and drawings.
    
  • Knowledge of current industrial communication protocols currently in the market.
    
  • Well experienced in understanding product cost related to design and how changes influence the project cost.
    
  • Effective personal communications.
