America's Lender.Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing a
data engineering team towards high performance and cloud
modernization. We are seeking a technical leader who will drive the
short- and long-term technology needs of the organization and
define and execute on a vision to create an advanced data platform.
You will be tasked with developing a data architecture strategy as
well as be hands-on as you lead a growing team that ensures
continuous value delivery for businesses, and as we progress
through multiple phases of increasing data scale. Drives the team
towards state-of-the-art technology with high energy. Provides
technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members. This
position ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with
the company's policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal
laws and regulations, wherein the company
operates.Responsibilities: Provides core data engineering, ETL,
ELT, data replication, data streaming expertise and
leadership.Provides leadership in database performance, complex SQL
tuning.Provide hands-on system design, DB schema design, software
engineering and overall systems architecture support for the
organizationDesigns, develops, and delivers solutions that meet
business line and enterprise requirements.Creates enterprise-grade
application services.Assists reporting teams with database access
methodologies and best practices for operational and analytical
reporting.Provide mentorship and development of the team and
contribute to building a culture that embraces engineering
excellence and integrity with a sense of urgency and
collaborationAdvances overall enterprise technical architecture and
implementation best practices.Participates in iteration and release
planning.Performs other duties and projects as
assigned.Requirements:Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to,
monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal
regulations and laws as they pertain to this position.Essential
expertise in developing and implementing data warehouses, data
lakes, and lakehouses with experience of the latest platforms for
efficient high-scale data hosting and analytics (e.g., Snowflake,
Azure, Databricks).Experience in working in an AWS or Azure
environment, and a track record of experience with enterprise
database and data platform systems design.Broad range of hands-on
expertise and experience with RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server,
MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g. Neo4j, MongoDB) database
systems, OLAP and OLTP, Snowflake, DataBricks, Hadoop, HDFS, Hive,
Python, R, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Fargate,
etc.)Deep understanding of one or more source/version control
systems. Develops branching and merging strategies.Working
understanding of Web API, REST, JSON.Working understanding of unit
testing creation.Effective organizational and time management
skills.Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication
skills.Ability to guide other teams including offshore vendor
resources and supervise their work.Ability to make decisions that
have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and cross
functional departments.Ability to deal with complex difficult
problems involving multiple facets and variables in nonstandardized
situations.Experience in Visual Studio 2013/2015 and SSIS to
develop enterprise ETL processes.Experience in the Mortgage
industry preferred.Experience designing enterprise database systems
using Microsoft SQL Server preferred.Bachelor's Degree preferred,
and/or a minimum of seven (7) + years' related work experience.Why
