Job Description:

Quality Manager (aerospace) • Ensures that the Quality system for the local facility is in conformance to required plans. • Ensures that the required documentation exists to substantiate the Quality System. • Ensures that the system is functioning and is in accordance with the required standard. • Ensures that personnel are in place to execute the required Quality Tasks. • Ensures that the required audits are scheduled and received. • Ensures that corrective action plans are either processed to the satisfaction of the customer. • Ensures Nadcap checklist requirements are complied with and a minimum of one Nadcap meeting or training session per year is attended to stay current with checklist requirements. • Ensures that the Quality System is measured utilizing acquired information. • Ensures that the measuring techniques are valid, and present the true state of the Quality system. • Ensures that management review is performed and documented. • Evaluating the materials in the cage and on QC hold in the shop. • Consulting with others to determine the impact of nonconforming conditions. • Contacting customers to request disposition of nonconforming product. • Reviewing the received documents and determining/reviewing requirements. • Reviewing applicable specifications. • Assessing risk associated with orders and reporting findings to appropriate persons. • Documenting and resolving discrepancies. • Choosing applicable heat-treat instructions and documenting special requirements. • Making changes/additions to the traveler.
