"This Job Matters"What's the job?The Social Media Manager is responsible for the development and execution of CertainTeed's end-to-end social media strategy - driving engagement, building audience share, increasing web traffic, and driving conversions - across all branded social media channels. This is a key role in developing and maintaining CertainTeed's brand voice and showcasing CertainTeed's value proposition across all interactions. The Social Media Manager, leading the Social Media Specialist and our agency partners, is responsible for overseeing all social media activities, working as a team to plan, concept, create and execute data-driven, engaging content and campaigns. This role will execute on organic strategy and launch, optimize and report on paid campaigns to increase engagements, audience growth and traffic. The position will work collaboratively with the Brand Managers, Segment Marketing, Corporate Communications, Customer Experience and the rest of the Corporate Marketing team to meet shared objectives and provide insights and analysis to improve impact and effectiveness of social media campaigns. The position will drive the improvement of the company's social media competencies and understanding across the wider business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrategy

  • Working with Brand, Segment, Customer Experience, Corporate Communication and Digital Marketing teams to determine customer-focused goals and align social strategy with business strategy
  • Ensure brand consistency at every touchpoint, through tone, voice and terminology using channel-specific tactics
  • Facilitate scaling brand and company awareness through various social media channels
  • Constantly develop and pitch new, out-of-the-box ideas that transcend social
  • Work closely with internal partners to ensure cross-promotional efforts remain on brand and strategic
  • Contribute to the company's social media crisis policy as needed
  • Contribute to the company social media policy, engaging with global colleagues on policy development and updates as needed Process
    • Develop internal workflows and responsibilities of cross-functional team members and agency partners for clearly defined process and RASCIs
    • Manage and contribute to the creation and implementation of the monthly editorial calendar which includes monthly objectives and initiatives across brand, segment, and business unit.
    • Manage process for editing, approval, and scheduling of all posts for all platforms
    • Plan and oversee all paid social campaigns, including partnerships with influencers
    • Work closely with creative and digital teams to concept, develop, execute and manage social content.
    • Ensure all published content is proofread, consistent with brand message and guidelines, and follows best practices for the channel on which it appears Execution
      • Oversee day-to-day management of campaigns and ensure brand consistency
      • Supervise all aspects of social media interaction between customers and the company to ensure a positive customer service experience
      • Design and implement platform-specific marketing strategies that align with overall business goals (e.g., conversions, lead generation, awareness, etc.)
      • Design and implement campaigns of varying scope on social channels (e.g., product launches, promotions, awareness campaigns, loyalty activities, etc.)
      • Assist with creative development of highly shareable content by working closely with agency partners, content, and creative teams, offering data-driven recommendations by keyword, topic and headline
      • Manage and execute the deployment of paid campaigns across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedInAnalysis
        • Define KPIs and implement measurement, analytics, signals, and reporting methods to gauge holistic social media performance
        • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into internal recommendations and plans for revising social media campaigns.
        • Conduct social media listening and social media monitoring using appropriate tools
        • Drive social media engagement into referral traffic to various website properties
        • Monitor competitors in the space and share relevant learnings with leadership and key constituentsEnrichment
          • Manage, build, and grow Social Media team training, skillset, and capabilities
          • Stay informed about trends and tools in social media, marketing, technology and advertising
          • Create and strengthen partnerships with other brands, social media companies, and influencers
          • Other duties as assigned. Our customer is our internal stakeholder(s) and our commitment to service is of primary importance. Therefore, the Social Media Manager and her/his team will utilize digital tools and platforms to maintain regular communication on progress, timelines, and deliverables to ensure stakeholder satisfaction throughout the planning and execution of projects and deliverables. This person will review current processes and develop documented SOPs that will be integrated into the service-level agreement (SLA) between Corporate Marketing and business clients, and a source to evaluate overall team performance.

            REQUIREMENTS "Your Skills Matter"What do you bring?
            • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field
            • Minimum 5 years direct relevant digital/social media management with strategic and activation experience in the B2B or DTC segment
            • Expertise in identifying, understanding, and applying trends when developing social media tactics.
            • Relevant experience determining target audiences and how to create unique marketing campaigns that resonate with them.
            • Strong understanding of marketing strategy and how to utilize marketing concepts throughout various forms of outreach.
            • Expertise in planning, executing and measuring paid social campaigns required.
            • Proficient using multi-channel monitoring and publishing platforms. Sprout Social experience preferred
              • Working knowledge of Google Analytics, professional certification a plus
              • Knowledge of various social media platforms' offerings/capabilities (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn Snapchat, Pinterest, Tiktok, Reddit, Clubhouse, Twitch, Discord, etc.)
              • General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and internet ranking for web content.
              • Excellent written communication and editing skills with a demonstrated ability to produce creative content to match brand tone and voice
              • Clear and confident presentation skills to lead discussions and drive action
              • Extreme attention to detail and outstanding organizational abilities
              • Collaborative team player who can integrate with diverse cross-functional teams and simultaneously work toward a multitude of company initiatives at once
              • Experience in utilizing and maintaining web-based project management and collaboration tools such as Basecamp, Trello, Slack, SmartSheet, MS Teams, Yammer, etc., a plus
              • Agency experience preferred.
