Manage the media agencies and vendors responsible for oversight of the University's media portfolio including: TV, radio, streaming audio/video, out of home, and print. Oversee lead generation efforts through affiliate partnerships, identifying areas of opportunity for channel optimization and growth. Work closely with internal digital and creative teams to align strategies, coordinate efforts, and obtain/disseminate assets. Incorporate the overall vision and goals of the University to ensure media plans are strategically aligned, relevant to the target audience, and achieve desired KPIs. Perform all duties in accordance with the University's policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the University operates.New hires must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and demonstrate proof of vaccination upon hire, unless approved for a disability or religious accommodationNew employees are eligible to request a hybrid flexible work arrangement (including up to three days per week of remote work) after one month of continuous service in good standing in the University's Pilot Voluntary Flexible Work Arrangement Program.TYPE OF SUPERVISION:Receive general supervision from the Media Marketing Manager.General Supervision "-- - - indicates that the incumbent performs a variety of duties; some of which may be complex duties within established policy guidelines; and receives occasional supervision.POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:PercentageStrategize with the agencies of record on media planning, execution, performance analysis, and reporting of campaigns against pre-determined ROI and KPIs.Recommend most effective mix of traditional media (streaming, broadcast, print, out of home, etc.) based on research, market trends, target consumer demographics, and media budget.Review agency proposals and recommend revisions to ensure marketing media objectives are met.Manage affiliate vendors, lead quality, and volume as part of the overall media mix. Grow the channel efficiently while sourcing and testing new vendors.40%Provide relationship management and daily oversight of the traditional media agencies, media plans, timelines, and budgets.Bring forward new opportunities in the way of technology, new media options, etc.Ensure quarterly media plans are executed upon; review reporting against media plan and clearance issues; recommend allocation of unspent media budget.25%Responsible for budget management, including allocation of quarterly budgets, monthly invoice processing, and financial reconciliation on a monthly basis.15%Serve as liaison between media and creative teams to facilitate asset trafficking for our media agencies and ensure alignment on the specs, timelines, and deliverables.5%Communicate and visit with campus directors to understand the distinctive characteristics of each media market and meet with local media vendors.5%Proactively identify and recommend creative uses of traditional and digital media formats to generate increased brand awareness and demand.5%Perform other duties, as assigned.5%TOTAL100%POSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of marketing principles, including market strategy, advertising, and communicationsSkilled in managing one's own time and the time of othersSkilled in interpersonal communications, with ability to receive and implement feedbackAbility to understand and express opposing points of view while maintaining positive working relationshipsAbility to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlinesAbility to manage budgets and KPI'sAbility to analyze data and prepare documents, reports, presentations, and correspondenceAbility to travel up to 5% of the timeEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR LICENSES:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field is required.Four to seven years of account management and/or multi-channel marketing experience.Experience with management of broadcast media preferred.Experience in digital media preferred.Experience in ad trafficking preferred.MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES, SOFTWARE, OTHER:Experience in Google Analytics, SalesforceIntermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, OutlookAbility to effectively use scanning and video conferencing technologyFamiliarity with the use of standard office equipment (e.g. copier, fax, scanner, etc.)Contact with Students: NeverContact with Faculty and/or Staff: OccasionalContact with Community and Vendors: FrequentSPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
