Job Description:

Our growing energy client based in San Juan Capistrano is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting function to support and bolster their accounting operations. While performing the daily and monthly accounting responsibilities, the Senior Accountant will help implement policies and procedures to provide formal accounting structure under the leadership of the Controller. This newly created opportunity has the potential for a fast track promotion to Accounting Manager based on performance. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Prepare various journal entries and account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and related period end reconciliations Assist with the month-end close process with heavy involvement in G/L account reconciliations, and related analysis Assist in the preparation of financial statements (i.e., balance sheets, P&Ls, and cash flow) Support the preparation of financial budgets, forecasts, and financial reports Participate in ad-hoc accounting projects and identify areas for process improvements and efficiencies The qualified Senior Accountant will possess: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting; CPA preferred At least 4 years of accounting experience; prior public accounting experience preferred from a national accounting firm Strong month-end close experience Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal skills with senior management, and polished presentation skills Solid Excel skills required including VLookup, Pivot Tables, etc. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment along with being pro-active, organized, and team oriented For additional details, candidates should submit their resume in MS Word format to teddy.kang@talentedsg.com.
