Senior Accountant, Consolidations & ReportingOur client is a global medical device public company that develops and manufactures innovative noninvasive patient monitoring technologies located in Irvine, CA. They are seeking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. Summary:The Sr. Accountant, Consolidations & Reporting role will be interacting with various levels of accounting and finance personnel to ensure timely and accurate consolidation of our subsidiaries, addressing all intercompany transactions, making eliminating entries and resolving any disputes in an efficient manner prior to the close of the period.Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of the Company's consumer division and its subsidiaries during month-end, quarter-end and year-end closes,
• Assist in the preparation of intercompany accounting, including eliminations, in accordance with US GAAP,
• Prepare intercompany account reconciliations and verify all items and activities contained within each account,
• Ensure intercompany account reconciliations are performed in a timely manner,
• Analyze, research and resolve intercompany discrepancies related to intercompany journal entries,
• Review and verify that intercompany balance discrepancies were resolved timely,
• Ensure foreign currency transactions recorded in the Company's consumer division consolidated financial statements are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP,
• Assist in the preparation of detailed month-end and quarter-end financial reporting packages,
• Assist the reporting team with preparation of support schedules in connection with SEC Filings,
• Assist with the preparation of government business compliance reports,
• Assist with review of statutory audits of the consumer division,
• May assist with other tasks and projects as assigned.Qualifications:
  • 3-5 year's work experience in accounting or auditing for a public company with a public accounting firm or U.S. public company,
  • CPA or CPA track, big 4, senior 2+ years, some general accounting experience
  • Mix of public accounting (with experience working on publicly traded companies) or private company experience,
  • Advanced MS-Excel skills and heavy experience of pivot tables and formulas,
  • Self-starter with high comfort level learning business, accounting and reporting solutions software packages,
  • Works well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently,
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects,
  • Ability to effectively communicate with support personnel and management,
  • Detail oriented, and highly deadline driven with the ability to demonstrate ownership of the tasks assigned,
  • Understanding of US GAAP, understanding of intercompany/consolidation transactions
  • Tech savvy, (MS Office, Excel, Word etc.)
