Job Title: Sr. Revenue Cycle Expert, Research Cash
Location: Irvine, CA
Duration: 3+ months

We are hiring Sr. Revenue Cycle Expert who excels in researching complicated medical insurance claim accounts and evaluating coordination of benefits for cash applications within our Revenue Operations Department. Successful individuals in this role are highly ambitious, results-driven, and strong in root cause analysis and puzzle solving. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work well as part of a fast-paced team. In addition, the ideal candidate has a high level of multitasking abilities, strong mathematical and analytical skills, and is driven by moving metrics to achieve success.
Specialists in this role will work with a variety of insurance payers and with coordination of benefits to deep dive and research difficult and complex accounts to reconcile outstanding account balances, research and resolve problem accounts, and request adjustments, rebills, and reapply payments or dispute refund requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Champion the client's mission and Values both internally and externally
  • Review, analyze, resolve, and trend for complex claims issues
  • Perform quality assurance and remediation for insurance coverage updates and cash allocation
  • Secure payments for complex claims and contribute to revenue protection strategy
  • Navigate complex insurance systems, contracts, networks, and relationships
  • Provide project support through data analysis, process evaluation, and process re-design
  • Assist with the execution of strategic initiatives and establish long-term collections with payers
  • Provide insights on business outcomes
  • Perform deep dive analysis to understand business drivers
  • Participate as a hands-on project specialist and provide thought partnership to improve processes
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to ensure project output is impactful across all business lanes
  • Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meets expectations of deadlines, and carries out assignments to completion while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company and patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and client's policies
  • Consistent and punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position


    Qualifications:


    • Required:

      • Highschool Diploma or equivalent (required)
      • Strong experience with coordinating insurance benefits and determining insurance relationships
      • Excellent root cause analysis skills
      • Effective communication skills
      • Self-starter who will thrive in a collaborative environment where all members are hands-on and have a voice in business decisions


      • Preferred:

        • Associates or Bachelor's degree
        • Ability to synthesize knowledge from past projects and employ new initiatives
        • Passionate about clean claims and the right revenue
        • Strong decision-making skills
        • Intermediate computer proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

            Work Environment:
            Level III Moderate noise (e.g., business office with computers or printers, light traffic). No required tasks involve greater exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues than would be encountered by a visitor.             Visual Demand:
            Vision adequate to perform the essential duties/responsibilities of position.

            Physical Demand:
            Physical requirements can vary. These must be reviewed with management. However, in general, the position requires the following activities:
            Ability to lift minimum of 5 lbs to a max of 50 lbs unassisted and able to stand, sit, stoop, walk, stretch, reach, and use full range of body motions.
            Manual dexterity as required for specific equipment and ability to use computer keyboard and peripherals.

            Language Skills:
            Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position.
