As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in compliance, review schedules for the reporting processes, and work alongside our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. It's a thriving environment where effort is rewarded.Your responsibilities in this role- Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed- Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules- Help with the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP- Complete month end close, journal entries, without supervision- Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation- Assist in monthly financial close workbook preparation, including annual closing process- Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments- Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting- Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
