WHAT YOU WILL DO:



* Direct supervision of Commercial Loan Analyst team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

* As manager of analyst team members, conducts detailed, independent financial and collateral analysis on credit requests. Evaluates business plans, projections, operating records, and financial statements. Shares information and analytical results appropriately and effectively, providing guidance and direction to analyst staff.

* As manager of analyst team members, analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance. Assists in development of customer budgets & projections and identifies strengths and weaknesses of the relationship to generate recommended credit risk ratings. Assesses credit situations from all relevant angles to derive appropriate credit recommendations, providing guidance and direction to analyst staff. Provides recommendations on loan structuring for a variety of loan transactions to financial analysts and relationship managers.

* Facilitates all loan requests from relationships managers, balancing workflow between locations and assigning requests utilizing available analyst. Interprets and applies bank policies, governmental legislation, accounting theory, or customer financial regulations. Provides recommendations to enhance policy, procedure, loan monitoring.

* Reviews the analysis of financial analyst team members, providing constructive feedback and direction as part of their ongoing training. Provides consistent training meetings for analyst team, communicating any changes in bank policy/procedure. Performs all other job functions as assigned by division manager.



WHO YOU ARE:



* The job requires excellent human relations, communications, and customer service skills. Must possess ability to communicate tactfully and listen attentively. Must possess strong ability to make sound decisions. Must have high level of accuracy and problem solving ability. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required. Works effectively and cooperatively with Financial Analyst Team Members, Relationship Managers and other colleagues in achieving the Bank's goals. Demonstrates teamwork in facilitating workflow. High level of cooperation with others and is responsive to the Bank's needs. Plans and organizes own work, uses time effectively, sets appropriate priorities while anticipating business needs. Strong analytical, cognitive and communication skills required including ability to be proactive and assertive when dealing with credit issues.

* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field with minimum of 7 years related lending and/or credit experience required; OR High School Diploma or equivalent with minimum of 10 years related lending and/or credit experience required; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Ability to calculate figures and amounts for financial analysis. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a number of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Processes information logically by applying objective criteria while assessing the facts. Ability to analyze financial profiles and identify risks and appropriate mitigations. Ability to assist Financial Analyst Team Members and Relationship Managers in structuring/restructuring loan agreements. Must achieve strong credibility internally with senior management, credit committee, and Relationship Managers.
