Safran Electronics & Defense Finance and management Irvine, California, United States Permanent Full-time Bachelor's Degree More than 8 years The Senior Controller is responsible for managing the financial activities of Safran Electronics & Defense, Avionics manufacturing division. This position is responsible for implementation of appropriate financial controls in order to ensure compliance with accepted accounting processes and legal requirements. The Senior Controller is involved in all aspects of financial management, inclusive of corporate accounting, budget and forecast preparation, internal regulation, and financial reporting.

Responsible for consolidation and reporting
Manages division budgeting, financial data analysis, record-keeping, and financial reporting to senior financial management.
Develops the cost analysis function for manufacturing activities to help drive cost reduction and process improvement.
Prepares the business's annual budget and oversees financial reports from accounting teams in order to confirm precise reviews of the business's current and projected financial position
Ensures controls and procedures are in place to ensure proper level of internal control.
Performs testing and evaluations of the processes according to the SAFRAN internal control process
Handles and improves accounting processes and activities: monthly closing, revenue tracking, inventory and WIP analysis, and accounts receivables and accounts payables analysis.
Supports as needed the production of various reports and cost analysis: quarterly SAFRAN consolidation, monthly Convergence report, monthly reports, and US Census reports.
Participates as a key business partner to plant management.
Manages the financial activities and functions of the Finance team in accordance with Corporate, Operational and Group procedures.
Drives financial and administrative process and system improvements to deliver world class business and decision making support processes, including working with SED executive team to converge on best in class consistent processes.
Supports requirements for Sarbanes Oxley Act, Internal Audit, E & Y Tax auditors, ISO, etc.
Leads team(s) in identifying, quantifying and mitigating risk.
Liaison with key stakeholders including external consultants as required. Works with SEDA corporate Finance office to support and coordinate plant activities and requirements with group operations.
Provides business performance measurement analytical capabilities as required to the GM, the plant management and other SEDA stakeholders on an ongoing basis and supports ad hoc requests.
Supports ad hoc projects including strategic execution and business development activities as required.
Performs similar duties as he deemed fit for the proper execution of his duties and duties as delegated by the Chief Finance Officer, Division VP or the Employer.Complementary DescriptionDesired candidate has the follwoing skills/abilities

Expert knowledge of ERP system SAP.
Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Detailed oriented with a demonstrated drive on implementing SEDA policies.
Sound analytical skills to interpret and relate financial data.
Knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS accounting
Familiarity with Corporate and audit concepts
Thorough attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Exhibits clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Capacity to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with multiple concurrent assignments.Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution
Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience including experience in manufacturing environment
Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
