choices.Position Overview: The Senior Financial Accountant leads
general ledger accounting for all Edison Energy companies including
international operations. The Senior Financial Accountant plays an
important role in the monthly close process and performs financial
analysis and reporting. Essential Functions: General
accounting:Records journal entries for month end closing. Maintain
work schedules for fixed assets, prepaids, leases, capitalization,
and others. Prepare journal entries for foreign entities (EU,
Canada, and Mexico). Resolve intercompany mismatches. Assists
bill-pay accounting for Advisory-Supply. Prepares payroll funding
requests at each payroll circle. Records payroll journal
entriesRecords cash entries on a day-to-day basis. Reconciles banks
accounts.Journalize Employee expense reports and performs credit
card reconciliations.Financial review and analysis:Leads monthly
balance sheet accounts reconciliation; resolves discrepancies and
prepare adjustment entries as needed.Prepares balance sheet flux on
a quarterly basis.Completes other Ad Hoc projects as
needed.---Documents work processes properly for references and
cross-training. ---Completes other Ad Hoc projects as needed. Job
Requirements: In depth understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
Understanding of IFRS is a plus. Minimum 3 years work experience in
Finance or AccountingStrong interpersonal (verbal and written)
communication skills are essential. Ability to communicate with
various levels of management and clients is required.Must be highly
detail oriented and results focused, with strong organizing,
multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills. Strong problem-solving, and
analytical skills. Strong work ethic and team player. High degree
of professionalism; flexible with work assignments. Strong sense of
ethics and ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
Desired Background: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA, MBA, or other advanced degree is preferred.5 years of
progressive GL accounting experience is preferredExperience working
in foreign entity accounting and foreign currency translation is
preferred.ERP system experience is required, preferred Microsoft
Dynamics AX, and proficiency with Excel.Work Environment: Regular
