Job DescriptionSalary: We're looking for dedicated team members
to join Orange County's largest nonprofit developer of high quality
affordable housing and services that transform lives and strengthen
communities.Primary Objective of Position:The Manager, Financial
Planning and Analysis will provide financial analysis, planning,
forecasting and support for key business decisions and strategies
to enable Jamboree to achieve its financial objectives. This
position will work with executive management and department leaders
across the organization to analyze and identify financial areas of
opportunity, and present findings in a concise and timely manner
appropriate for an executive management audience. The position will
also lead the development and implementation of business analytics
tools for the organization. Major Areas of Accountability:
- Lead annual budgeting process to include development and
communication of specific targets, reconciling submissions to
targets, recommendations to achieve total organization goals,
preparation of presentations to executive management and the Board
and upload of detail annual budgets to internal systems.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, annual and/or five-year forecasting
processes, including revenue, cost of goods sold, general and
administrative expenses and capital expenditures, and prepare
multi-year cashflow projections.
- Prepare regular management reporting packages, including the
development of financial dashboards and commentary on business
performance and drivers, and present financial reports in an
accurate and timely manner.
- Provide platform to address lender, investor and other external
financial inquiries.
- Work with leadership on financial assessments of projects,
opportunities and forecasting business performance, work
collaboratively across the organization to provide
accounting/financial data and explanations and develop/implement
solutions that improve business decisions and financial
tracking/reporting.
- Streamline data management from a wide variety of business
channels and systems into valuable, cohesive reports, developing,
implementing, and overseeing centralized reporting from main
databases of the organization, including data dictionary and data
integrity of each database, full implementation and maintenance of
each system, and implementation of an organization-wide business
intelligence tool.
- Plan, develop and implement policies, procedures, and
objectives of business analytics function in accordance with
Jamboree's mission.
- With Asset Management team, review Jamboree's portfolio to
identify refinance and restructure opportunities.
- Confer with executive management to plan intelligence gathering
priorities and develop policies regarding the collection, analysis,
application and reporting of data.
- Develop, execute and manage strategies for risk mitigation and
insurance coverages.
- Drive risk management efforts, analyze and classify risks
across business activities and identify mitigation actions.
- Other duties as assigned. Special Projects:
- Conduct SWOT analysis for inception of property management
business unit. Oversee related data analysis and present findings
to executive management and the Board as applicable.
- Other projects as assigned.Level of Education, Experience and
Skill Set:
- Well organized, detail/deadline oriented, and ability to
multitask.
- Excellent skills in financial modeling and analysis,
forecasting, project management software, Microsoft Excel and other
programs in Microsoft suite, databases, data management, and
working knowledge of ERP and business intelligence tools.
- Strong collaboration skills, effective at facilitating internal
discussions, enthusiasm, and team-building spirit.
- Professional demeanor.
- Good presentation skills; excellent oral and written
communication skills.
- An entrepreneurial and creative approach to problem-solving in
the field of affordable housing and community development.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, master's degree
preferred.
- Eight years' experience in affordable housing development,
business, finance, urban planning or a related field, preferably
for a non-profit, government agency or private financial
institution.
- Demonstrated experience with public and private affordable
housing funding resources and subsidy programs, including
low-income housing tax credit program, tax exempted bonds, and
syndication process; ability to creatively combine financing tools
to leverage housing funds.
- Valid California driver's license and availability of an
insured vehicle to travel within the California service area.
- Job includes some evening and weekend hours.Mandatory Vaccine

and Analysis is required to talk and hear. The employee is often
required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel.

to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this
job include close and far vision. Ability to operate a computer
keyboard and lift files and reports. Exposure to glare from a

Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and travel via automobile and/or plane
75%. Work Environment:The work environment will usually be in a
professional office setting, with possible shared workspace. The
noise level is usually quiet to moderate. When traveling the
environment will change dependent upon the site visiting.
