Job DescriptionSummary: This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of client and firm data in the Portfolio Accounting database, including performance troubleshooting, client facing reports, and performing other portfolio accounting duties as needed. There is a specialized focus on all the Portfolio Accounting aspects of Alternative Investments.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Employee is responsible for adherence to all compliance programs and the completion of all required and assigned training by established due dates.
  • Understand and comply with requirements of all laws and regulations applicable to position.
  • Facilitation and completion of Alternative Investment Subscription Documents, Capital Calls, Distributions and Redemptions
  • Alternative Investments month end reconciliation
  • Troubleshooting and updating of Performance for Alternative Asset Funds
  • Tracking and distribution of K1's
  • Preparation, creation, and maintenance of quarterly statement packages
  • Administration of all aspects of client on-line portal
  • Collaboration with back office business unites on the ongoing development of the Orion database, definition of securities and asset schema
  • Cost basis research and resolution
  • Verification of appropriate Benchmark/Indices – Construct/additions/deletions/maintenance
  • Responsible for development and completion of monthly/quarter-end risk control reporting
  • Work in concert with Portfolio Accounting team to resolve data integrity issues, workflow inefficiencies, and enhanced reporting
  • Disseminate industry and job-related knowledge to team members via on-site and remote training
  • Ability to simultaneously tackle multiple projects and challenges while performing assigned duties

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in related experience required
    • Familiarity with Orion Advisor Software and Alternative Assets preferred
    • Understanding of portfolio management concepts, in particular Alternative Investments, as applied to various databases Skills:
      • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
      • Knowledge of Bloomberg terminal and import/export functionality
      • Highly organized and flexible
