All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex including sexual orientation and gender identity, national origin, disability, protected Veteran Status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local law.* NO AGENCIES PLEASE* Thank you!Job SummaryThe Commodity Manager is responsible for the sourcing, planning, procurement, overseeing contract manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation of all wire assemblies needed to build our revolutionary products.Duties & Responsibilities* Manage over $50M spend portfolio for all wire assemblies (simultaneously achieving continuous goals for cost/quality/delivery requirements)* Thoroughly understand the manufacturing of wire assembly supply chain, understand ongoing challenges, and provide insight the team on options to minimize supply constraints throughout (raw material, wire extrusion, wire and cable manufacturing)* Manage the wire assembly product group throughout the Product lifecycle (NPI through End-of-Service-Life), as well as managing inventory levels to meet product velocity and order fill rate requirements* Drives closure of gaps within the commodity / NPI strategies to ensure there are reliable suppliers available and qualified when needed for development or production* Works upstream with NPI design/manufacturing engineering to provide quick feedback on SKU trade-offs, contract manufacturer selection, manufacturability, cost, and lead times.* Works closely with engineering groups on large highly complex and ever changing BOMs.* Is a proven leader that communicates flawlessly in a cross-functional environment and can drive instant action/results from both the commodity and NPI teams in alignment with customer needs* Some travel is required* Take initiative. Continuously Innovate.Minimum Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in business supply chain management* 7+ years of experience in wire assembly procurement, purchasing and/or supplier management.* 5+ years of experience with MRP and ERP systems, and with navigating complex Bill of Materials (BOMs) and raw material data* Extensive knowledge of the wire assembly supply chain (raw material sourcing, wire assembly manufacturing)Preferred Qualifications* Extensive experience with wire and cable assembly manufacturing* Experience managing wire and cable contract manufacturers* Experience implementing and managing Kanban and VMI programs* Experience with medical manufacturing preferred* Remarkable problem solving skills, with a bias for speed* Exceptional analytical and organizational skills* Able to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, while meeting deadlines* Quick learner who prioritizes appropriately to meet customer and company needs* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, cross functional environment, both independently and in a team* Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment* Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills* APICS, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar certification* Prior experience utilizing the Agile system* Prior experience utilizing OracleEducation* Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
