Description The Forecasting Manager will lead the end-to-end Demand
and Revenue forecast analytical process for the Allergan Eye Care
Franchise. The position is responsible for developing and
maintaining the market model used to produce timely projections of
commercial product volumes for all Planning Cycles (LBE, Plan,
LRP), close reporting, and the associated analytics and supporting
presentation materials for discussions with various levels of
leadership. The individual must develop and maintain a strong
knowledge of the business to facilitate optimal decision making
through cross functional communication with Sales & Marketing
Management, Marketing Analytics, Market Access, and Commercial
Finance. Key Responsibilities Include:-- The Forecasting Manager
will provide comprehensive sales forecasting support to the
Franchise leadership. Major responsibilities include the
- Development of accurate product sales projections to be
utilized in all Planning Cycles using sound analytical assumptions
and effective communication of rationale/methodology, including but
not limited to:
- Alignment with commercial business partners and finance leaders
on pro-forma hypotheses for forecast variables, supported by both
quantitative evidence and qualitative insights using past &
anticipated future market events.
- Integrating hypotheses into market model
- Provide thoughtful & streamlined presentations to Sr.
Management with a holistic understanding of the market dynamics and
resulting financial outcomes via comprehensive analytical reports
cut from several angles.--
- Preparation and creation of sales reporting/key metric
Forecasting/Actual Reporting Packages.
- Collaboration with Commercial, Pricing, Finance and Market
Analytic/Business Insight teams to address various business issues
and provide solutions through analytical problem solving.
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support on various business needs
including potential product launch scenarios, channel/product mix
impacts and other key business drivers.
- Complete key financial close schedules for a variety of
stakeholders to demonstrate the financial results for monthly,
quarterly, and annual fiscal periods.
- Triangulate multiple data sets, synthesize the aggregated data
and derive vital takeaways, trends, risks, and opportunities,
highlighting them to leadership in a clear & concise manner.
Further, leverage conclusions from recent data to further refine
forecasting model components, while bifurcating the 'signal' from
the 'noise' in statistical fluctuations.
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or Marketing. Master's/MBA is

modeling, and problem-solving skills, along with strong
communication skills to effectively work with various levels of
management. The ability to understand market research and
syndicated data sources is critical to discovering and quantifying
financial impacts of marketing initiatives and competitive events.
Deadlines are often tight, therefore the ability to prioritize and
quickly understand issues/assess data integrity is critical.--
- Minimum of 6 years combined experience in cost accounting,
auditing, financial reporting, or financial planning and analysis
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and previous experience with
