Title: Scientific - Tech, Laboratory
Location: Irvine, CA
Shift: M-F, 8AM TO 5PM
Duration: 6+ months

Job Description:
Summary:
This is a unique opportunity to join innovative and early-stage development projects. This position will provide R&D support for process improvement and method development. The Engineer/scientist will partner with other R&D engineers/scientist both within the Tissue and Biotechnology Center of Excellence and across business units to improve the durability of our products.

Job Responsibilities:
--- Independently perform experiments and tests based on protocols, analyze results, and write reports
--- Provide support with instructions for sample preparation, data collection and other tasks
--- Manage chemical and equipment inventories
--- Prepare documentation including lab notebook and PowerPoint presentation

Skills:
--- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

--- Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.

Education/Experience:
--- Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or science
--- 1 + year of laboratory experience with biochemistry, chemistry, biology, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering
--- Prior experience using plate reader, microscope, or other instrumentation
